The HexLab Ethical Hacking Manifesto
Powerful tools deserve principled operators. Here is the code we ask every HexLab customer to sign up to.
01Six principles
- Consent first. If it is not yours, get written permission.
- Do no harm. Reversible tests only. Never disrupt services people depend on.
- Report responsibly. Coordinate with vendors before public disclosure.
- Educate freely. Publish your methods so defenders learn.
- Respect privacy. Never capture data that is not required for the finding.
- Know the law. Local statutes vary; check before you experiment.
02Why publish this?
The tools we sell are neutral. The people who use them are not. A manifesto keeps the community pointed at defence, not damage.
